Greetings family and friends of Valley Bible Fellowship. I hope this blog finds you and yours doing well.
As most of you know VBF has a team of 11 People travelling to Sao Paulo, Brazil on June 27, 2007. (That's this Wednesday already, Yikes! So much left to do.) Those taking part in this mission are: Dave, Dee and Kezia Thornhill, Tiwana Wright, Pastor Steve, Debbie and Siara Gray, Jeremy, Natalee, Seth and Kiah Bakel and, of course, every one of you who has supported this trip with your prayers and contributions. Just as our wall of prayer says, please continue to "Pray without ceasing." 1 Thes 5:17
We will be updating this blog with stories, testimonies, photos, videos etc. while we are away. Please check back often to stay informed of all that is happening on this journey. We look forward to all that God has in store for us and can't wait to share our experiences with you. We love all of you, please take care of the staff that is still in the springs while we are gone. TAM Airlines Flight JJ3054 Tragedy!
On Tuesday Night, July 17, 2007 we received news of an Airplane crash that occured at an airport in Sao Paulo, Brazil. This Crash is a very tragic event with over 200 people killed. As a team, we are all saddened by this news and would like to extend our prayers and condolences to Brazil and those families and friends affected by this event. All of the team members are safe. This tragedy took place at a domestic airport, not at the international one that we will use. Please keep us in your prayers.
